What got Bidz.com interested in premier, invite-only sample sale shopping & designer fashion industry?
The main driver behind Modnique.com was an opportunity to extended existing relationships in the brand name merchandise industry to a business model that was complementary to Bidz.com and Buyz.com. Modnique offers us a better opportunity to sell fashion merchandise in several product groups such as apparel, shoes, and accessories.
When did Modnique open?
Our first sale started February 8th, 2010.
What states/countries are you open to?
We are currently a US-only site.
How much does it cost and how long ’til we receive items from Modnique?
Prices vary greatly depending on the product and brand name. However, discounts go all the way to 90%.
As for receiving items to your doorsteps, delivery ranges from 5 to 21 days, depending on where the merchandise is (our warehouse or our vendors’ warehouse) at the time of purchase.
What are some of the brands you are excited to feature?
To date, we have held sales of Maurice Lacroix, Ed Hardy, Swiss Army, YSL, Kitson, and other well-known brands.
What makes your site stand out from all other invite-only, designer sample sale sites?
We can match the high customer service standards set by our competitors while offering price discounts which will be very tough to beat for everybody else. For example, our Swiss Army watches were discounted up to 75% off while a more prominent competitor was selling these watches at 45% off during the same week. Our Roberto Cavalli sunglasses were up to 85% off, much better than the ~ 60% discounts offered by other sample sale sites.
